We got the color on the flags right this time!!
The teacher and I set up the table for our tea party during rest time. The lights went on and the shades went up & the kids came walking over to see what we were up to.....
Real dishes, real silverware and fancier food....
One of the girls paused and said breathlessly,
"It is so beautiful!"
A couple of them were exited that they actually had knives at their place settings.
Even our local press heard about our party...and came to take pictures.

It was a lovely way to spend a very fine and festive historical day. I was so happy to read that the children enjoyed all the celebration almost as well as you did ! Joe's inspiration and celebratory attitude was well received and is quite contagious at that !
