All the cat silhouettes are made. One is already sewn on these block lotto blocks I won. The rest are waiting.
We had blizzard go through yesterday, so I am home!
It started with rain, when the snow came it stuck to everything.

My Captain A-MOO-ica quilt. Jackie (the sister who will get this quilt) went out and bought the magazine. She took it to work, then Jesse her husband took it to work and then she mailed it to me.
It came yesterday!
There was an article in there about turning children's art work into quilts.

The kids at school were making colorful snowmen. I loved this one and took a picture of it. No one can do art like a 1st grader.

She was supposed to fly out yesterday.
Didn't happen. Something about the weather causing delays.

The leaf and cat quilt is going to be awesome. A little cool in Phoenix this morning. Sitting outside trying to kill time. The snow pictures are pretty. I just don't want to come home to it!
We have a wonderful quilter here who works with kids to create quilts that go to kids with cancer. She has them draw sea creatures and fish on white squares with fabric crayons. then she frames them with sashing, backs and quilts them.
Now she has about 5 women who do all this with her. She is a fixture at all quilt shows, kid places where kids gather.

Congrats on Captain A-Moo-Ica!! Can't wait to see that adorable guitar playing snowman in a quilt. TWC showed a sign in front of a church. It said, who ever prayed for snow, you can stop now! Think spring.

I love the way fresh snow looks - it makes the world all clean and shiny! But would NOT want to go out in it! Not to mention the shoveling....

I have a cat silhouette pattern that i can across this weekend as i was cleaning up /rearranging(trying to UN-HOARD actually) my sewing room!
I think it was from quiltmaker but i got it online-I did save it, as I do love it-so funny to see them here!
